Brian Hurd
Brian brings over 29 years of nonprofit leadership and consulting experience to his role as Vice President of Advancement. He focuses on leadership and organizational development, working in a style that is highly relational. Brian’s solution-minded experience and programs and processes have impacted over 500 organizations throughout the nation. Brian utilizes his experience as well as his certifications as a John Maxwell coach/trainer, Style of Influence and Leadership Network facilitators to produce effective results for his clients. Throughout Brian’s career, in addition to his own client engagements, he has partnered with several national consulting firms including: Pursuant Group, Dunham and Company and Mission Increase Foundation. Brian served as Vice President of Advancement at Houston Baptist University. During his time at the University, he was part of the executive cabinet working with the Board of Trustees and President’s Advisory Board to turn around an underperforming advancement department. He also worked with the President and executive team to design a ten-year vision plan. Brian’s other experience includes working with the Greater Dallas Region of the Salvation Army, where he led their Board of Directors to redevelop a successful contributed-revenue plan. At Dallas Theological Seminary, Brian served as Senior Advancement Officer working on the school’s largest capital campaign. Brian and his wife of 33 years live in the Dallas area with their three sons.
